(the) ocean and i are Tokyo, Japan based synthpop band.
Having formed in late 2016 after being created by vocalist and composer Nayokenza, the band is comprised of them along with members Maryssa on bass, Nina on synths, and Ernesto on drums.
Combining elements of synthpop, noise rock, post-punk, nu metal, groove metal, and hip-hop while playing custom made synth guitars; (the) ocean and i are a unique sonic and visual force all their own.
After steadily playing and making a name for themselves in the Tokyo scene (the) ocean and i are ready to embark on bringing their music to North America and other markets and are currently organizing a WEST COAST tour for 2020.
